Hey, alpine adventurers: Come and explore the Great Outdoors!
In the summertime, Schenna / Scena is a wonderland of floral-scented meadows and delicious alpine specialties. You’ll feel like a certain spirit of adventure. The surrounding hillsides are suitable for climbing both in summer and winter. We know the best and most-rewarding routes.
Hiking along the Schenna “Waal” Trail is fun and easy. Does not require a high level of stamina and is thus perfect for children. A great way to explore the area and enjoy the landscape.
This trail high above Schenna / Scena connects several historical farmsteads. An excellent way to explore this landscape and rediscover Mother Nature. Especially children will enjoy learning about the day-to-day life of farmers.
This trail is characterized by gradual uphill and downhill stretches and will take you past the huts of the Tallner Meadow and over the fields between Rotmoos and Videgger Asse. When the alpine roses are in bloom, this trail offers especially enchanting sights.
The Ifinger is the “home mountains” of Meran / Merano. It’s not an easy climb by any means. You should have rugged climbing gear and have absolutely no fear of heights. But mountaineers can enjoy exploring it along several different routes. And once you’ve reached the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view. On the trail back down, you’ll want to stop in at the Kuhleiten Hut for refreshments.
The heart of the Texel Group Nature Park. The crystal-clear and turquoise-colored lakes are a real must-see, and can be easily reached from the Meran “Höhen” Trail. From June to September, guided tours are also conducted.
You’ll feel as though you were climbing among the clouds. This secured climbing trail is categorized as “medium hard,” but offers an impressive view over Meran / Merano. In the summer months, the Schenna / Scena Tourism Agency also offers guided tours along secured climbing trails.
Are you interested in steep downhill slopes, or would you like to fly over the ramps in the snow park? The catchword here is “fun in the snow.” Meran 2000 offers a comprehensive range of winter sports options. Winter sport enthusiasts will have a hard time choosing among the alternatives.
Schenna / Scena boasts a strategically perfect location for cyclists. Bicycle paths extend from it in virtually every direction. What better way to explore the vicinity than on a bike? And there’s a bicycle rental agency with a wide range of modern and as-good-as-new mountainbikes directly in Schenna / Scena.

The Thermal Baths and the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are without question among the absolute highlights of this region. You simply have to visit them!

In both summer and winter – actually, in every season – the Thermal Baths in Meran / Merano are worth a visit! Open, elegant architecture and lots of options to relax and unwind. You’re guaranteed the ideal conditions to enjoy yourself. The sauna facilities are especially noteworthy.
This public outdoor swimming pool features charming architecture as well as a magnificent panoramic view of the Meran / Merano and the surrounding mountains. The Lido has a water slide, a large lawn on which guests can stretch out and relax, a children’s pool, a Jacuzzi-style pool, a modern restaurant with sun terrace and panorama outlook point, bowling lanes, and tennis courts.
A cinema high up among the clouds? But where’s the popcorn? The Knottenkino (South Tyrolean dialect for “movie house among rocky outcropping”) is an outlook point with a difference. We’d love to see THAT film again and again!
